Counselling
At Willow Psychology, we provide compassionate, evidence-based counselling for children, adolescents, and adults. We support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, and other concerns that may be impacting their wellbeing.
We are passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals through affirming, strengths-based care tailored to their unique experiences and needs.
Our collaborative and person-centred approach focuses on helping clients better understand themselves while building practical skills to manage life's challenges. This may include developing emotional awareness, strengthening emotion regulation, enhancing coping strategies, building resilience, and increasing confidence in everyday settings.
At Willow Psychology, we aim to create a safe, supportive space where every person feels understood, empowered, and equipped to thrive.
Supervision
We provide professional supervision for early career psychologists, provisional psychologists, and psychologists undertaking the Educational and Developmental Psychology registrar program. Our supervision offers a supportive and collaborative space to strengthen clinical skills, develop professional identity, and build confidence in evidence-based practice. Emphasising reflective practice, ethical decision-making, and professional growth, supervision is tailored to individual learning goals and stage of development, helping psychologists navigate the complexities of clinical work and progress in their careers.
We have experience supporting psychologists working with mood disorders, neurodiversity, trauma, and completing neurodevelopmental and psychoeducational assessments.
Prior to engaging in supervision, we provide a complimentary 15 minute phone consultation with prospective supervisees to determine the appropriateness of the supervisory alliance.
Fees and Funding
Willow Psychology accepts funding schemes under Medicare, NDIS (self-managed or plan managed only), and Private Health Funds.
You may be eligible for Medicare rebates to help cover the cost of your sessions. The exact rebate amount and the number of subsidised sessions depend on the specific type of referral you receive. Your GP can assess your eligibility and discuss the best pathway for you. Please note that a valid referral must be obtained from your GP prior to your first appointment in order to claim a Medicare rebate.
To ensure compliance with NDIS guidelines, we require all NDIS clients to complete a Service Agreement prior to commencing services. This agreement clearly outlines your therapeutic goals, support schedule, and the exact costs of our services. You will receive this alongside your intake forms.
Many private health insurance providers offer rebates for psychological counselling services. To claim these rebates, you need to check with your specific health fund regarding their coverage policies.
Fees are charged in 15-minute increments, and any scheduled appointments that run longer or shorter than originally booked will be amended accordingly.
